Lets’s read this paragraph below

Aman went to the market. He reached the market. It took him a lot of time to reach there. Aman went to the shop and bought a T-shirt for himself and came back home.

Sounds unimaginative. Right?

The reader is not making any connection with the lines.

What do you think is missing?

This is written without using adjectives.

Now let’s write using adjectives.

Aman went to the market. It was a sunny morning. He ate juicy and sweet pancakes for breakfast. It took him an hour to reach the market. There was heavy traffic on the way. It took him a lot of time to reach there. As he reached the market, he saw a bright orange t-shirt in a shop’s window.

He immediately went inside the shop, paid for it. Aman came back home, joyful about his bright orange t-shirt.

See what happened here?

Using ‘Adjectives’ in the paragraph immediately gave us something to connect with. We can almost envision Aman’s journey to market, his t-shirt purchase etc.

With these worksheets, the teacher’s goal here is to give them the practice of ‘Adjectives‘ using various engaging methods.

Children read books.
